The McMillan Hunter stock is a variation of the popular sako hunter stock design and is best for rifles with scopes using medium to high rings. It has the sculptured Sako type pistol grip with palm swell and a monte carlo type butt with some cast off.
The difference between the“Remington Hunter” and the “McMillan Hunter” is that the Remington Hunter has a wider and flat forend. It will take up to a #8 barrel contour. Grip and butt stock are overall larger than the McM hunter. McMillan Hunter (this one) has a conventional hunting stock forend, thin and rounded and takes up to a #4 barrel, palm swell on both units.
